    Q. How much are yearly membership dues in the Academy?
    A. $1,200 – Firm Membership (covers up to ten firm attorneys and paralegals)

    • $500 – Sustaining Membership
    • $250 – Admitted for Five Years or More
    • $175 – Admitted for Less than Five Year
    • $100 – Paralegals (with subscribing attorney)
    • $100 – Non-Judicial Government Employees
    • $55 – Law Professors

    Q. Do my class purchases count towards membership?
    A. Yes, should you later decide to join, we will apply $100 of each non-member purchase to your initial membership dues (within one year of purchase).

    Q. When does the membership year start?
    A. The year begins whenever you join. If you join in October 2014, your membership will expire in October 2015.

    Q. Are the CLEs always free?
    A. Yes, the Academy has and always will provide FREE LIVE CLE for its members.

    Q. Are past Academy CLEs available on CD or DVD?
    A. Yes, past CLEs are available to members "at cost" - $10.00 for online download, $20.00/CLE on CD, or $30.00/CLE on DVD regardless of the number of credits. 

    Q. Does the Academy provide enough CLE for me to fulfill my state requirements?
    A. Yes, the Academy presents more than enough CLEs for you to fulfill your two-year CLE requirements. In addition to our Annual Update course (an eight-credit CLE including one Ethics credit), the Academy runs programs throughout the year across the state on issues important to trial lawyers. Past CLEs have included: Jury Selection 101; Experts: From Retention to Trial; Meaningful Mediation; Proving Damages at Trial; Direct and Cross Examination of a Medical Witness; and many more.

    Q. Can I come to a CLE to see if I like the Academy?
    A. Yes, you can pay the non-member admission for one of our CLEs (typically $100/CLE). If you later decide to become a member of the Academy we will reduce your initial membership dues by the cost of the CLE. Essentially, we will backdate your membership so that your very first CLE with us was free.
